I ordered 5 the other day only one showed up alive. he/she is doing good. I've been missing mine for quite sometime. They say they are sending replacements next week.
These guys got busy quick. I have had the female for over a year but just aquired the white male just under two weeks ago. A friend was down sizing and needed a place for him. It must of been love at first sight.
He is one of mine and the the one that did not not change. Sorry about dirty glass. The two smaller fish in the third photo are black belt/synspillum that were born in my 150.
My black belt pair laid eggs a few days ago and they hatched today. These guys lay a successful batch about every three weeks. The fry usually get eaten after about week and half by the other fish in the tank. As soon as I do a water change or some thing to disrupt the tank. They go at it...
I was told these were rose queens in the cichlid forum. They said try hybrid forum for a better answer. They were supposed to be synspilums, but 4 of the 8 turned orange at about three inches.
thanks, i'm wondering if they had batch mixed together. The largest one is displaying the same coloring as the synspilum I used to have. Then again it's probably a hybrid to. It's been a couple of months since they changed color.
