is it true that arapaima are already farms breed? the fact is worse here in Asia, I've seen many many offsprings came into the country and sold off within seconds.. and I doubt even any of them would life any longer within few years after reaching into hobbyst's tank. Some are even released...

just wanna know everyone opinions, do you think arapaima should be banned from trade? there are many offsprings/arapaima babies being sold in countries specially in Asia, and I doubt the number of people who bought them have enough space to house the fish, yet perhaps less fish would make it to...

I've just turned on the light n snapped these pics, they freaked out, then I turned the light off. Yes, they were sold as manacapuru, they were also locally breed here in South East Asia.

there is a very little chance that two aros could get along in the same tank, unless you bought them pair. You could try mixing it with silver, but both are better be introduced at the same time, like I did.

thanks, the first two are direct lights from sun, it normally gets about an hour or more of sunlight during the day, other than that during nights I only use tfc light on top.

its actually the sumo type of super red, hard to find and cost more than the regular one. The sumo feature is what makes its expensive, and its usually more aggressive than the regular one. Most collector here in my area are still tempting to have them. Its expensive but its not the high end...
