Couldn't I find him and feed him shrimp and silversides? I would VERY gently put my hand under him and let him eat. Would the other fish pick on him? How high of a temp can they have?

I have a 150 and was wondering what good sand sifters would be. My sandbed is only around 1" deep and I am getting a little bit of brown algae on it. What would be good sandsifters and how many would I need? Thanks
