I have a four inch gold severum and a 6 inch severum, They were previously in a 55 gallon with five convicts, two of which were approximatly 4 inches long, no problems at all until the convicts hatched a brood, I moved the severums to my 150 display tank for now!

My big tinfoil is a trouble making fin nipper, I have him in a tank with convicts now, no problems!

So, what fish will eat them? i dont want to end up with another empty shell! The last one I had either got eaten by my parrot cichlids or my convicts. Do they over breed into the tank like some other types of snails?

Yea, some people always ask where is the frying pan, or where is the fishing poles! Others are amazed by the size of them, most of the guests are as enthused as I am. i love starting new people into the hobby!

There sure is a cycle with it! its so catchy, first one tank for display, then a breeding tank for this and one for that, and a trouble maker tank for the rest, i'm ready for a big goldfish tank next so to raise some koi and comets for the pond!

Thanks for the picture. I think the snails add to the look of the tank, especially for freshwater, something other than fish!

I would suggest severums, parrot fish, tiger barbs, possibly a couple convict cichlids, pleco, maybe some corydoras and a big cat fish. The nice thing is that with a tank that big, you have lots of possibilities. Be sure to check out the underwater lasar lighting. Driftwood, plenty of plants and...
