That is cat palm (Chamaedorea cataractarum). It is a true rheophyte (stream-associated) palm so it likes to grow in the water. It's one of my favorite riparium plants.

I haven't been back here in a while but I am working on this tank again. I decided to remove all of the stones...just couldn't make them look very good. I might just use plants underwater or I might also add some manzanita.

Yep, the box with the fish got here 20 minutes ago. I hope to have pictures later on. The P. buffei might be up for sale. I am going to give them a couple of days and see if their reclusive behavior changes at all with the new barbs.

Any new updates? If they have plenty of light but are slow to grow you might try adding some ferts to their planter cups.
