    it seems that drilling laminated glass is much the same as drilling normal glass, I am more concerned about drilling a running tank as I do not want to pull down a stocked tank. Is it worth the risk or does someone know where I can find an overflow box that will fit over a 2.5 inch tank brace?

    I have decided that I am going to get a custom built 4 foot sump and am going to use: Pot Scrubbies as bio media, polyfiber as mecanical, chuck a uv lamp in somehwhere aswell and possibly upgrade my pump I plan to put in around 400 scrubbies that are fed by a drip tray.

    an FX5 would be good if you want to fund it Id rather run several small canisters that are easy to clean when it is that time again, I would do 1 filter per month (so each canister gets cleaned every 3 months) + there is less to worry about when I am not home for the weekend with canisters

    Does Everybody use heaters?

    i only use heaters during the winter time, my tanks just ride the temperature and my fish dont seem to mind at all, today my 6 foot tank is at 20 degrees C, thats 68F, my fish dont mind at all because they are used to it.

    he means a fine grade sponge, like a fine grade of sponge. there is 2 main types there is: the rough stuff that is used for taking out chunky stuff and there is the smooth sponge that takes out up to m icroscopic things from the water Wow that is hard to explain
