    cool small plecos

How small of a tank? Clown places are pretty common small ones. Bristlenose plecos aren't for that small of a tank but maybe them too.

    Quikrete play sand in aquarium?

By too lazy to walk that far, I mean its not at ace. If it is ill pick up pool sand. The filter intake is like five or six inches from the substrate so that should be fine. Thanks everyone for your input.

    Quikrete play sand in aquarium?

Pool filter sand is farther away and I have to walk to go get it, thanks though. Siphoning isn't that big of a deal, i know how to siphon sand because I have it in two other tanks, I'm just not sure what kind of sand they have.

    Quikrete play sand in aquarium?

I'm just wondering if quikrete play sand would be safe to use in a freshwater tank? Seeing as its only 5 dollars for 50 pounds it'd be nice. I know I'd have to clean it a lot but that's fine with me. Does anyone know if its alright? Thanks in advance to anyone who helps...

    Cories have tail/fin damage

This is probably too late for you to notice, but yeah it was cycled. All the water was from the 30, I used a filter I had on the 30 as well. I do a 25% water change every like, three or four days, and I have sand, so I just go through and siphon out anything thats on the surface of the sand...

    Cories have tail/fin damage

I recently moved my bronze cories from a 30 gal to a ten by themselves so I could make sure they were eating good because my fish got most of the food before them. They've been in there for two weeks and have been fine but now I'm starting to see damage on their fin and tail and I dont know what...

Release pond? Good idea? Bad idea?

Is there a way to edit a post of yours? I meant to add that if they don't have the money to make something like that, then it's not like it's needed for a city, but I don't see why some cities with ponds laying around don't just designate that pond for safely releasing your fish.

Release pond? Good idea? Bad idea?

I don't understand where this money will be spent. A lot of cities have ponds that they don't do anything with, how much money does it take to maintain a pond? I would think none, seeing as they're naturally occuring.

Release pond? Good idea? Bad idea?

I guess benzjamin is right. I don't see much in the way of maintaining though? You designate a pond, and you put a "no swimming sign" up. I do agree on the statement about Arowanas and Pacus. The whole thing about snakeheads and pirahnas is the reason there would need to be one, so those dont...

Release pond? Good idea? Bad idea?

This is my first post and I'm pretty tired, everyone thinks a tad crazy when tired, so I was thinking why not have each city build a pond where you could release anything? Or just designate a pond not connected to any rivers. That would reduce the amount of people releasing their fish into the...

Hello MFK, I'm new here. This is my first post, however I've been reading every post that interests me for the past 6 months and decided I should probably register. I'm sixteen and have been keeping fish for two years, nothing special. No monsters or nothing like that, mainly because my mother...
