Thai Silk males are almost always fertile IME. Owned 4 and all of them were able to produce some fry. Some more than the others but still fertile nonetheless.

It looks like a mild case of ich thats causing your fish to scratch itself(hence the peeling look). Just do a 30% water change and increase the temp to 86 degrees for a couple days and see if it helps. Adding a little salt wouldn't hurt either.

The ZZ is a male. The thai silk is a female. She looks to have a case of hex as well.

Keep the water pristine, feed often and have some patience. With regards to infertility in FH's, it's a problem that doesn't usually affect ZZ's so you can go off from there. Good luck!
