looking good so far, did you wash the substrate at all or did you just put it in the tank? I am curious about getting some for my planted tank.

UPDATE:

Decided I mostly liked the setup, save for the right side where I'm testing a few plants for which I prefer, and will then thin this out later. Here is the current base of what the tank will look like. I will be adding more petrified wood later, as more good looking pieces show up.
