its up for debate, its heartbreaking for me to get rid of them

If you consider deals other than trading for a ray, then you must post a price in this B&S thread

Good luck with the sale, I love Ps

I would love a ray, but i would also trade them for a Silver Arowana, like my other post, i would love a small one but i wouldnt trade all 8 for 1. Open for other fish to, but a silver would be my top choice. A small flowerhorn or other fish that could get along with the silver would be good.

I'll be darned. That is correct. --> HERE <--
City of Des Moines Ordinance prohibits the keeping, sheltering or harboring of any illegal animal.

The following animals are deemed to be illegal: Lions, Tigers, Jaguars, Leopards, Cougars, Lynx, Bobcats, Wolves, Coyotes, Foxes, Badgers, Wolverines, Skunks, Mink, Raccoons, Bears, Monkeys, Chimpanzees, Bats, Alligators, Crocodiles, Caimans, Scorpions, Snakes and reptiles that are venomous, Snakes that are constrictors over six feet in length, Gila Monsters, Opossums, all Apes, Baboons, Macaques and Piranhas.

However, as I understand it, The City of West Des Moines is a separate entity --> HERE <--. They have their own list, but piranhas are not on there:

DANGEROUS ANIMAL: a) Any animal which is not naturally tame or gentle, and which is of a wild nature or disposition, and which is capable of killing, inflicting serious injury upon, or causing disease among, human beings or domestic animals and having known tendencies as a species to do so; b) any animals declared to be dangerous by the board of health or the city council or its designee; c) the following animals which shall be deemed to be dangerous animals per se:

A. Wolves and coyotes;
B. Badgers, wolverines, weasels, mink, and other mustelids (except ferrets);
C. Bears;
D. All apes (including chimpanzees), baboons, and macaques;
E. Monkeys, except the squirrel monkey;
F. Elephants;
G. Wild boar;
H. Black widow spiders and scorpions;
I. Snakes which are naturally venomous or poisonous;
J. All cats, except domestic cats (Carnivora of the family Felidae including, but not limited to, lions, cougars, tigers, jaguars, leopards, lynx, bobcats, etc.);
K. Raccoons, opossums, and skunks;
L. Alligators and crocodiles.

Lucky you for not living a few miles east...

Best of luck with the sale,
HarleyK

Honestly, I have no say in how local LFSs handle that stuff, but I can make sure that MFK is on the right side of the law. Just don't sell them to a Des Moines resident or to any other illegal state.
