Help for diy fluidized bed filter

So i will be making a filter that looks like this


The tube is 10" diameter and 1/3 full it holds like up to 60 lbs of sand:)
But what i'm wondering is how to difuse the water into the sand evenly
no idea what the difuser bowl is
is there any other way like putting a 5 way pvc cross attached to pipes with holes in them? would this work /
anybody know what the diffuser bowl is?:confused:

looks like the bowl is the diffuser kinda looks rounded to me...

the clear stuff is actually the main body of an all clear model
it looks round cause of the way the light hits it
i think the bowl is the black stuff at the bottom

the sand will fluidize with the flow you could just blow water down and the up flow will move the sand

Yeah, as long as the water is flowing up through the sand, that's basically it. You need to be able to adjust the water flow so the sand stops rising agout 3/4 up the tube.

it kinda looks like its cut with radius fins to spin the water???? but you could just blast down and it will fluidize
