Bichir questions - 1. M or F bigger? 2. Pattern grow with size?

1. Lets say for example a batch of young babies from the same parents, would the bigger offspring be the males or would they be the females?
The bigger ones would be the ones that got the most food and best genetics.Its very hard to sex bichirs until the sexual dimorphism in the analfin is evident.
2. Is it true that the pattern from delhezi's stay throughout their lifetime? For example, one delhezi with very little black spots, almost none at all. Will it stay like this onto adulthood or will the black spots grow bigger and bigger?
