Just picked up a longnose gar...I was tempted to put up a pic of a Needlenose belonid just for Polypterus ;)

great looking longnose, definitely a nice specimen. as for the tank, it may add to the probability of back-breaking for the longnose (species very prone to doing so) if it's not at least 2' wide...although if the fish is 18" long (which it appears to be around that size) 3' wide is advisable. again, great specimen--

Thanks guys! I was planning on putting it in the 240g, which is 24" W, but I wanted to make sure it's all acclimated and eating well first before it gets moved in with the big boys...The LN "inflexiableness" is the reason I was hesitant about getting one, I know the amount of maneuvering space they require...
