Does anyone have any free Chaeto?

Hey guys. I just took out all my bio-balls today and added live rock and sand to my sump. I was just wondering if anyone out there had some free chaeto to give away?

Also how much lighting does chaeto need? How many hours do you run your lights on this macro-algae for?

in my experience, it's not amount of watts but spectrum of the light that will help your chaeto grow fast. 6500K is good. i have my fuge lights on a reverse cycle to my display tank.

idk... do plants need heating? i would think like $12 MAYBE for overnight... but i really don't know what im talking about when it comes to shipping things

if it turns out to be really low i guess i can omit it as a favor :D

but if you go to an LFS you should be able you get a big handful for like $5 or less...

BIGgourami: Yeah I checked with the fish stores around here and no one has it.

But good thing is I found some for free. Haha I was on another board and a guy locally was giving it away for free. So hes shipping me 2 small sandwich bags full of it. Says theres a lot of micro-organisms on it which is a good thing.
