lures for Largemouth Bass??

I was wondering what would be the best lure/bait for LMB??

the largemouth bass here range from 1 to 5lbs

1-buzzbait?

2-spinnerbait?? if so what kind?? willow blade?

3-chatterbait??

That is very illegal and far from the best bait on the planet!

I think its time for there to be a sticky. There is no one best bait for LMB. There are WAY too many factors involved. Saying that, more bass are caught on soft plastics then anyhting else.

My all time favorite LMB lure is a jointed Rapala crankbait, Perch color.

Surface lures like Hula Poppers work great when the Bass are really biting, I think they are the most exciting way to catch fish.

i use spinners (all colors, most mine have willow blades) or soft plastics (senko is my fav) and then i rarely use crank bait.

I love a big spinnerbait, plastic worm, or swim bait. Floating raps are great fun for surface strikes.

there are tons of variants. time of day, time of year, location. I'm guessing you are in the north cause the bass stay smaller?
I always use four lures to find out what they are biting: purple or red shad plastic worm (carolina rig), spinner (bright colors), or a jointed repala. hope you have some good luck. :)
also, look around the water you're fishing and see what is likely to be food to them.
