I went to a lfs last night and they had a really nice electric blue jack dempsey (so small though, around 1 inch maybe). 60 bucks sounds like an aweful lot for this fish, especially being so small.

What do yo guys think?

They are all overpriced if you ask me, but, the current market price for one at that size should be around 35-40. So 60 is really too high.

Way too high. Have seen them around here for 30-35, at a little bigger than one inch.

I've seen then around 60 bucks all over South Florida, and I refuse to buy them at that price, it seems unfair especially when they are tiny.

its too much imo, the biggest problem i have with them is that they loose the beautiful markings as they get older.. not that they are horrible looking adults.. but they are such beautys as juvies

$60 is way too much. Especially in Florida. If you keep an eye out and look long enough you should be able to find one for as low as $25.
