Which heaters you guys using to heat your monster tanks? I tried a bunch of different ones but I think I like the unbreakable Rena Smart Heater the best. What do you all suggest for my 300. I would like to hide them in my corner overflows.

The 500W Catalina Aquarium titanium heaters appear to be reliable. These are available on ebay. They have the added design benefit of not using a separate temperature probe.

I use Visitherm Stealth heaters on all my tanks, love 'em and never had a problem. But I think 300W is the biggest one, so you would need a few. If you want to hide them in the overflow they might not be very accessible so you might want to think about a controller for you heater(s).

I use two bio-therm 250w titanium heaters in my 300 gallon tank + 200 gallon sump with a controller.

In the winter I kept the house at 68° F (65° F at night) and the tank at 80° F with no problems.

Stealths heaters are the best ones I have ever used. Good price too. I took an online Petsmart ad to Petsmart and they honored the price. The Doctor.
