The tub i was using for the main sump cracked causing a slow leak so I pulled it out...

I am thinking of getting the All Glass Megaflow Sump Model 4

Should I just make another one out of rubbermaid tubs or should I spend the $300 on the AG MF sump?

Get a glass tank and make your own. You'll save a lot of money and it'll work better since you can customize it to your tank.

The All Glass Megaflow sumps work great, but I would recommend saving the money and get a used glass tank and customizing it for your tank. I just picked up a tank off craigslist today for that purpose.

I say go for it. If you just want to get it up and running quickly and don't mind spending the money, this is a great buy.
