3/4" slip fit bulk head?

I bought some 3/4" MPT x Slip bulkheads and I'm having issues with my 3/4" PVC I bought and it being REALLY loose. My 3/4" pvc from the local hardware store is just a touch over 7/8" wide and the "slip" end of of the bulk head is around 1 1/16". Do I have the wrong type PVC? I didn't see any other type 3/4" in the store. OR are the fittings I received made wrong? (the 3/4" MPT end is correct). The 1/2" and 3/4" seem pretty thin walled compared to the 1"+ stuff they have at the store and these aren't stamped "schedual 40" like the 1"+ stuff.

Nevermind, I found out the stuff I got is CPVC hot and cold waterline which runs smaller/thinner than the same size PVC........... And my local store doesn't carry shc 40 3/4" stuff Anyone know if Lowes does? They are the closest "bigbox" building store and they are a 30 mile drive away.
