Is my wet/dry big enough?

the sump should be 1/4 to 1/3 the size of your tank
I was wondering if my wet/dry is big enough for my 220?

It is an AG 38 (it was the biggest they had beside a 40 breeder) and a 8 Gal tall rubbermaid tub for the pot scrubbies. It actually has 180 spot scrubbies stuffed in there, stacked vertically and criss-crossed.

I am just wondering if it is actually good enough for my 220, I do have the other filters on the tank as well.

Looks sweet to me man. I mean I can't really see exact measurements of course, but from what I can see should be fine on a 220. What size pump (it doesn't look familiar)???

it is a quiet one 4000, so it should flow around the 700gph mark and the tank measures 36x12x19-3/4"

The volume seems great to me. I think the flow seems a little slow.... What are you stocking and do you have another filter?? Like a canister? I like my 1800gph pump on anything over 200 gal.

I got a 37 gallon wih about 15 gallons of bioballs and a magdrive 1800 for my 300g is was fine til my fish got very large and had about 10 or 11 of them in the tank so I added an FX5. I would maybe run a 1200gph pump if your overflow can handle it

It looks like it's fine. That should be enough flow for biological filtration, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to add something for mechanical (and obviously test the water to be sure)

Good job! nice and simple.

well I have an FX5 and an AC110 (AC just has 2 foam blocks) for mechanical, I just want the W/D for Bio which is why I went with the simple design...

W/ the FX5 instead of the 2 intakes I switched them to the output so now nothing gathers in my corners :D and my tank is crystal clear with no carbon or anthing.

Sounds like you should be alright even without it! In that case, just go for it:)
