This wood is an African wood and much heavier than mopani. I can't seem to find much info on it - I saw it one place from a former fish keeper/seller - beautiful wood - used in cichlid tanks. the guy who had it said most people called it java root - but I can't find anyone who knows it that way. One person heard of the wood as it is used for weapons and said it was an amazing wood. It has been several months and the guy is now selling it and a good sized piece of lava rock. Offrered me first chance but I don't have a clue as to the current value of the wood.
