I have a 135 gallon that's 6' long. Would a 48" double be enough? Or should I go 72"? The tank has no live plants. Enclosed stand with about 9" from tank top to top of stand. Also fixture model suggestions/recommendations welcome. I've been looking at the nova extreme 48" with lunar and the Coralife sets. All input appreciated thanks.

it just depends on how much light you want in the tank. i have a 210g (7x2x2). im currently running one 48" T5 HO bulb and i think its more than enough. its a nova extreme fixture btw. its a two bulb fixture but i took one bulb out because i thought it was just too much light for my tank.

search my threads for pics of the tank/lighting

48" should be plenty for a 72" tank, especially if you go the HO-T5 route, if you mount the light suspended above the tank a foot or so (hanging from the ceiling) it'll cover more area.
