This weekend my wife tried putting my old filter bags into the washing machine to test cleaning them to reuse. She set it on the gentle cycle with no soap using hot water. They came looking clean and new, would they still be safe to reuse?
yep... however theres no more good bacteria in them... swishing them out in a bucket of tank water works to clean out the "yuck" and keeps your BB alive
you may not have used soap but I guarantee there is soap residue on them now. How much? Thats hard to tell. You may be ok but I would NEVER try it personally. Plus i like the oldfashion easy and safe method of just washing by hand in tank water so all my BB stays alive.
