Is a 65gal sump with a 500gph pump (320gph at my head) and two 211gph powerheads enough filtration/circulation for a 150 gal tank with mbuna? Rocks will also be added for decoration/caves

Ideal is 1/3 of your tank is reccom. for your sump. So your almost half. I say your good.

Would the two powerheads provide enough circulation?
That should be fine, remember Africans are lake fish not river, so you don't want tons of current.

Ok thanks. Another question i have is that my father whos a carpenter wants to build the tank into a wall unit and says using pressed board(like MDF) is strong enough. The 65gal long will also be at the bottom so the tanks top will be supported on the sides and in the middle in the front and back and 2 or 3 10x1cm pieces of the wood will run along the bottom of the top to keep it from bending. Do you think this is strong enough to permanently hold the tank? Styrofoam will also be used under the tank.
