im wanting to seperate a tank into 2 sections but im not sure what to use,

i thought about chicken wire but this would leave some nasty edges and may rust,

what do people use, ? is there something you can buy that just fits in?

Egg Crate.

Can find it at HomeDepot. use suction cups to keep it in place

Also depending on the size of your tank, some fish stores sell "dividers" for that very pourpouse. They are made of plastic.

for most tanks, store bought dividers are good, otherwise eggcrate is the best, which is what I use as well

eggcrate is a floresent light fixture diffuser, just go to a store that sells lighting
fixtures(Floresents) and the egg grate is 4ft x 2ft that sits in the opening of
the fixture to spread the light around....it is a type of plastic that can
be cut to size with side cutters..the all you need is some suction cups....

i had to seperate fry before and i used the egg crate and a siene net. i overlapped the net a few times to make smaller holes. then used flexible fiberglass poles to set it in place.
