I have an Eheim 2217 for my 125 Gallon tank. Is this enouph? If not what are my options without having to buy another canister filter? Is there anything I can add to my system to "bulk" it up? I have a truvu 72x18x20. I think its actually like 110 G trully. Thanks.

Depending on stock? What are you stocking it with. For instance my jag pair have there own 125 with a pleco in there with a Fluval FX5 Eheim 2217, 2026 and a magnum 350 and consider the tank filtered well. If you have tetra's or fish that don't grow over say 8 inch and only a few you would be fine but you would need powerheads for water circulation. Get another eheim like a 2215 or another 2217 and you will be set.

Right now I have 2 common plecs (large), 1 theodore cat (med), 1 Jack Dempsy (sm), 1 G Terror (sm), and 1 Managuense (sm).

I also have a good powerhead for circulation and three airstones that seem to move the water a bit as well.

He means get an Aqua Clear 110 hang-on-back filter. If you don't mind ordering online, here's the cheapest price: http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=159226

Alternatively, some here have reported being able to get that price at their local Petsmart- just print out the above page (link) and ask them to price match.

As for your filtration, I use a 2217 + 1 large sponge filter on my 55g (2 juvie GTs, 3 redhooks) and think that it's "just right".

I'd add another 2217 (a 2215 would prob. do, too) + an AC 110, with your current stocking.

I would also recommend the AquaClear 110. This filter will cycle 500gph so with the large sponge that comes with it, makes for a very good mechanical filter. It is easy to rinse out the sponge one a week(takes 10 minutes). Plus with the biomax included it will give you back up biofiltration, just incase your 2217 should happen to break. You can'y find a better filter for 50 bucks.
