Where to buy black sand?

I was just curious if anyone knows any good website that sells black sand at a reasonable price?


If so, would u mind listing them for me so i can check them out. Thinking of taking out crush coral and put in black sand.

thanks for the input, yeah i would have to spend alot to put in all the black sand. In a 180 to have a good 2 inch layer.

I hear you can get black pool filter sand, but not positive. It would probably be cheaper too.

Will easily be the cheapest. however be prepared to put in considerable man hours. We did a 180 tank for my buddy with it, took roughly 6-8 hours of sand cleaning. It will stain the bucket/hands/whatever it touches. including the tank if not rinsed enough. Looks amazing. way heavier than normal sand. So it doesnt get kicked up into filters nearly as much. Imo it's the only way to go, if you're going for black sand. I'd be tempted to go black gravel though.
