That works, but the bottom tray will soon clog up with poop and lose the surface area that's the key feature of that filter media. You can just as well use EhiMech for the bottom tray, it will do the exact same job and is cheaper. I agree with the EhFiSubstrat Pro for the upper two baskets, covered with a good layer of filter floss.
