im seriously considering putting my oscar down in the near future.. he's not doing good and doesn't seem to respond to food or medication..

on the up side that would mean once/if he goes.. the 75 is open to stocking and i was hoping to do a SW tank

my only issue is..
1. should i put my current fish in there and
- sell the other tanks
- restock the other tanks (which i'd do automatically expet it's 2- 29's and a 10 not much i can add)
2. stock this tank and keep most/all fish in current tanks
- reef
- FOWLR
- pred reef?

what should i do..?

i am open to opinions and stocking suggestions

i know i want at least one jawfish and am going to adopt a sqaure spot anthias
a lyretail hogfish would be nice too

i was thinking about that..

it mostly depends if i can get rocks large enough

if i end up taking down my old tanks.. the rocks are all tiny (as you'd expect in a small tank)

Id go open reef........ Mix of fish and corals. Only thing you would need to do is get a skimmer if you wanted one, and lights strong enough to grow whatever corals you are interested in.

A nice moray eel would be cool too if you wernt interested in a reef setup. with that you could have like a toby or a dwarf lion or something. Just shooting ideas lol.

i wouldn't mind the moray in with the reef.. i'd just have to find peices of rock big enough for him not to knock over..

4x 48'' T5s.... you think that'd be adaquate for SPS?

some fish im thinking of.. (im pretty sure i'll end up doing SOME kind of corals in the long run)

lyre tail hogfish
sqaure spot anthias
genicanthus angel
jawfish (or 4 lol)
school of some kind of damsel (roland, talbot, yellow tail, chromis etc)
sleeper goby
eel?
and maybe a scopas or purple tang...

any thoughts/suggestions

The fish that you want to die never seem to die they are imortal.
I would make it a fowlr, with a larger angle of some kind a tang and an eel. A zebra eel would be good in a 75.
