Leopoldi spots turning yellow?

Over the last 2 years, most of my male Leopoldi's spots have gradually changed from white to yellow. Why is this?

i remember reading on here shrimp can cause this.... turkeyboy i think had similer problem,,,,

Leo.....wait a minute. I see some small spots around the front edge of the disc. Are there spots on the underside of the disc, near the edges?

That is 100% leo.

Do you have any nitrite og ammonia in in the water? Are they stressed?

All 3 things will make the dots go yellow..

That is for sure a Leo. Water quality may be the issue.

yea my males spots were yellow ever since i got him... I have him on pellets now and the yellow seems to be fading but you can still see them compared to my females
