good question.. any mature arows no drop eye..

Lets see all the arows that are mature and good size that "DO NOT" have drop eye in either eye... then lets go over diet and size tank and tank mates and lighting and anything else we can think of to see if anything is different in the ones that do have drop eye... must show perfect eyes in arow pic and state size and age and etc.. thanks... i know we will probably never get conclusive answers but you never know what may help..

okay ...up until present could you tell us the size tank, tank mates, and food and anything else you may do... like how long is the light on..or off..what kind of light... type of water... any info you can think of pertaining to your perfect 10 inch arow..did you raise him since a baby? with egg sacK? and pic please.. we will do 10+ inch arows ...

he is in a 75gal tank with a fluvul 405 filter.
i feed him 1/2 a shrimp a day.
the lights are on from 5pm to 9pm.
slow moving water, outlet of the filter is pointing stright down.
got him at 5'' with no egg sack.
25% water changes a week.
he is with a krillin BP, a pike, a fire mouth, and a front.


this him at five inches. will go home and take a pictrue of both eye's.

1-No he was dropped off to me when I was on vaction...The aro was around the 20 inch mark when i got it..I did happen to raise one before this though froma baby-Got it up to the 2 foot mark as well.Had no drop eye as well-Had to uthanize due to restrictions with tanks...

2-Might lights are on for around the 9 hour mark daily...

3-He was fed a raw seafood diet mainly with the occasional pellet

4-Tank mates were great at the time-

red devil/midas hybrid
pleco galore
2 syndo's
tinfoil
cuban
2-dovii
Probably forgetting alot more of them....

5-Tank was a 500 gallon-First aro was raised in a standard 125 gal...

6-My tank see's 300 gallon water changes weekly...

7-Not really gal....Good water quality-Excellent filtration...Dim lights.Nothing special at all...

8-I'll have to think for awhile LIZ

1.no
2.10 hours of light a day but very low light.
3.raw shrimp,raw fish,worms,and pellets.
4.he lives with a long nose gar,gator gar,and some big rays
5.450 gallon tank
6.two 50 percent water changes weekly
7.i have a small mirror on the top of the tank,maybe will help
8.i also have a floating thermometer that he watches cruise around the top,maybe the fish needs to exercise there eye mussels?
