I've often wondered why we don't see more crabs from the Amazon river, or any other truly freshwater aquatic crabs. They are out there, they are plentiful (heck they are a HUGE part of the food chain in the wild), and I think there is a market for them.
The only crabs I see are fiddlers, red claws, patriot, and on rare occasions "watermelon" and "vampire" crabs.
A few years ago I had freshwater crabs that I ordered from Aquaboy Aquatics (Mike Hall) but his website has been down three years now. It sucks because he had a lot of unusal crabs and other critters. He also wasn't overpriced.
Where are all the cool inverts?
PS: Anyone know what happened to Mike Hall AKA Aquaboy Aquatics?
