Hmmm?
After a water change last night, one of my NTT's was breathing very rapidly.

I woke up this morning and he was a goner

He was just under 4" and normally healthy. First time he's ever freaked out during a W/C and he never really settled down.

Sorry to hear about ur loss...I had the same thing happen to me with 5 Ntt's...They didn't die after wc tho..They did have the heavy breathing tho...I was able to save 1 of mine by treating him with Mardel Coppersafe. When u notice the heavy breathing u have to treat right away or u will lose it very quickly.

I learned my lesson, and now when I buy new Ntt's I qt them with meds to prevent this from happening...Havn't lost any since I started doing this.

a friend of mine recently lost a 10 inch thin bsr, with no apparent death signs.... n thingwith NTT. Makes me worry about my 4 thin bars.
ut your loss mate. dont be disheartened from collecting dats though. IMO, there a very resiliant fish, and in 5 yeras of keeping, never have any caught sickness.
