This Chinese dude at the LFS told me to add some AZOO Double Black water to my Tank to help my ITs colour. Has anyone had any experience with black water?

Humic and Tannic acids in the Blackwater extracts chelate iron, heavy metals and other dissolved solids in 'clear' water, leaving 'yellow water' that actually contains less dissolved solids.

well i dats love the dark tank and very active when the light is off. so im guessing its 50/50 depending on how the fishes react.

Blackwater extract is basically tannins. Tannic acids influence the pH depending on the KH and GH. But I thought datnoids prefer hard alkaline water? Never had them so this is up to the datnoid keepers to judge. Blackwater extract is very expensive when you can have oak leaves or Indian almond leaves. They make the water acidic if the water is already soft.
