Technically you asked so here is under my sons 29G:

I didn't have to paint the back of the tank blue, nice thing about having kids!

Under my planted tank: If you look in front of the Eheim you'll see how I keep my bacteria colonies convinced to do the job, I give them a little something to stare at... Needless to say I have never had any issues with that tank!
