Im new to dats, I'm lookin for a adult dat with a really white base not the usualy dark yellow/brown base, something like the one on top, also it the gravel is pure white, will that help the base color turn white?

really don't like the base color on this one, too dark yellow

I agree your not going to find a dat out there unless its small with colors your looking for.

The white base is caused from the dats environment. I had a widebar that was almost close to white for a good year. ( using bright light and white play sand.)
Once i threw in black sand the gold coloring came back. But not all dats get to that white color. Try your luck

mine changes depending on mood. here's when he felt like being white or close to...





most of the time he's yellow...

the smaller ST i had was a white base and never lost it all the way upto 8'' when it died. it was in a tank with a very yellow 15''er.

Dats with a white base are going to be hard to find. I suggest just using photoshop to get the exact color you want.

I don't have any ST's with a white base, but I do have an IT with white base, which I've never seen before.
