So both these guys were labeled as Long Nosed gars. First two pics are the same fish and pretty sure it is a FL/Spotted. Second two pics are same fish and not sure if it is a FL/Spotted or Long Nose, my guess is its a FL/Spotted just smaller. So whatcha guys think??

i agree with richard...definitely not longnose gars. the first one I am confident is a Florida/spotted (i.e. Florida), but the second one is definitely odd-looking. it has some pattern traits that look similar to a shortnose, and it's head is a little stranger than your typical Florida (but this could just be angle in the photos). if it came with the same batch of fish it is likely another Florida, but with the second one we may have to wait and see as it develops before making a 100% certain ID--

Thank you both. Once they put on some more size I'll take more pix. I was using my wife's point and shot camera so they didn't come out as well as I had hoped. Thank you again.

great shots (new pics)! i would still go with the original statements...we'll have to wait and see on that one since it looks a bit different, but if it's in the same batch, it's most likely the same species--
