The other day i got a common pleco and he hasnt moved from the corner of my tank. He does move a little but i heard that they usually dont stay in one spot. He also has not been eating the algae wafers. I have to get some fruits and vegetables but i havent had time yet so ive just been giving him the wafers for now. BTW he is still alive he does move a little but not much and i was wondering if someone could help me.

Yea i woke up this mornin and i went over to it and he was out and then when i turned on the light he swam back into the corner. Will he ever start to come out during the day?

eventually they discover that food is out in the day, but it can take months.

He sounds fine. You just got him a few days ago....Give him some more time to adjust.

common plecos are hardy....mine dont move that much, always stays in one corner, but according to my experience its their typical behavior.
