Im curious to know the answer to this question. I know SRT's can be extremely aggressive, even to fish bigger than them. Bump for answers.

Maybe just a regular Texas cichlid. Not one that is half red devil. Especially not the same size. I wouldn't try it unless the Dat is much bigger than the cichlid. Also, If there are other cichlids to spread out the aggression that would help. I have kept ATs in a CA cichlid community tank (125) and they were ignored.

I would not try it in a smaller tank where they were the only two fish. That would not work out well for the Dat.
