i have two gars (florida) at about 6 to 7 inches. would a inch thin bar datnoid be ok with them? saw one at a lfs, thinking of buyinbg it, but need your advice first. thanks.

think about the growth rate but in my opinion the dat can hold its own. get a piece of driftwood.

the worry would be that the dat would pester the gar, so long as the dat is mild all will be gravy.
I had this combo when I had a 14" florida/spotted gar with my dats. The dats once in a while chased the gar and nipped at its tails and fins so it's up to you. I'm sure it would be fine as long as the dats don't fit into the gar's mouth
