Would they be ok? they are about 7-8". My tank is 7' x 2' x 2/1/2'.

Is this too small? I know they prefer a wider tank to swim around in. Supposedly they have been kept in the same siize tank currently.

My tank does have sand, and there's swimming room as it's not too overcrowded with ornamants and plants. There are other (friendly) tankmates too. It has a sump filtration, which in a couple months I'm going to upgrade it from a 30g to a 55g sump tank.

I've always wanted one since I saw one in the lfs almost 10 yrs ago... But I want to make sure they'd be ok before I commit

Greatly appreciate any input.

I wanted to note that I've been researching them, and did read the stickies on them. I know they'll need a tank that's at least 4 ft wide in due time. Hopefully by then though (2 years down the road) we'll be moved into a house and will have the space to do so, or build them an indoor pond.

Is this size tank too small for them now though? Or would I be better off just waiting.....

motoros are the least aggressive of the stingrays? Reason why I ask is because I started the tank over a couple months ago and am growing the future monsters up from babies (4inches or so)
