How Long Has Your Equipment Lasted?
Howdy,
The members of this site have a huge experience with equipment. Many of us have had fish tanks for years, some for decades. Low-quality sucks, we want equipment that lasts. When we set up a tank, we're in it for the long run!
What are your favorite brands, what can you rely on? I am not asking for the newest gadget you bought, not for the set-up with the fanciest extras. I also don't want to know what sucks. I want to hear from those of you who have been running one piece of equipment for at least 3 years and would purchase it again if it ever broke (however, hoping it will last for many more years).
Here is mine:
Eheim 2211, run-time 16 years, still counting
Bring it on!
HarleyK
Ps
I know this question might inspire a brand war. But I am counting on your cooperation in keeping this a positive thread. Please only state positive experiences and refrain from negative comments on other member's experiences. Thank you/\/\FK - it's alive!

My favorite longest lasting filters are aquaclear 500s. For the $$, they turn a LOT of water, and last forever. Never had a cannister last that long without something breaking.

In the presence of God and Jesus Christ...I give you this charge: Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke, and encourage--with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit there own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. -2Timothy 4:1-3

I've got an eheim 2213 that's been running since 1989 without any servicing or replacement parts except the hoses.
Said that before in other posts but had to say it again because to me it's shocking.
Would like to hear from others about longest lasting submersible heaters.Monster microscopic signature league: member .001
