My mystery snails may be mating...

Ones on top of the other in a manner i haven't seen before. Looks like they are matting off the pictures i've seen.

    I have some questions:

-Would baby crayfish eat the eggs?(probably)
-Would the fish eat the eggs? (just some guppys and platies, but they eat everything to begin with.)
    -how many do they have?
-how fast could i sell them? for i don't have enough room for tons of snails.

    Thanks, wish them luck!

Forget mixing the crayfish with snails. Crayfish will simply eat any snails within their reach. Pictures can answer your other questions faster and better than words. Here are my snails.

I might add only the fire ants are reported to eat eggs as the apple snail eggs laid above the waterline are nasty in terms of taste. Check my sticky threads in this section for egg hatching, rearing, etc.

My crays have never bothered snails, ever. I got a good... 15-20 1-2 inch P. alleni's with my snails and shrimp... they never bother eachother. I could see them eating the eggs though. they made quick work of my freshwater clams the first time they hatched... Thanks lupe!

I guess I'll put them in this 10 gallon i have set up. was going to use it to breed crays, but this seems to be the priority at the moment as i already have tons of baby crays.

Wait for 24 hours prior to the eggs laid until it dries and hardens a bit. Scrape the eggs with thin credit card or razor blade afterwards and wrap the egg clutch in damp tissue papers. Put the wrapped eggs in a tupperware and seal it (with small airholes on the upper sides). Leave the tupperware to float around your tank and check it regularly (daily or every other day).

Thickness...I don't bother. Any tissue paper as long as damp is fine but don't use the ones with alcohol and other chemicals added.
