PROVEN! they have actually had fry from them? Thats AWESOME! can't wait to see pics. . . I ma trying everything I can to try to spawn some Lents, that gives me some hope :)

k soo i picked them up and they definatly were not johanna! My buddy who works at the LFS thought thats what they were and I corrected him. Instead, they were Crenicichla lugubris! I think they are a little more uncommon... Beautiful fish... heres some pics!:D

Def Lugubris group pikes, possibly strigata type - we had an almost identical large male bought from Rapps as strigata.

We have very similar looking unidentified pikes from Columbia we got at the '07 ACA Sacramento. 1 male + 2 females are compatible, could bring to Cincy ACA this July if anyone's interested in buying. Also have some other large cichlids for pre-sale, will post available list soon on the 'for sale' forum.

thanks everyone! After one day in my tank they already started diging a pit next to some rocks and i think there gonna spawn soon!
