Hey, I was hoping somebody could help me with stocking my 125G. My latest tank is 29G, so this is my first step into the "monster world". :D I was hoping to put:

Ropefish

Ornate/palmas bichir

Florida gar (I can do without)

2 clown loaches

Bristlenose pleco

Red-finned rainbow shark

Firemouth

The setup will be mostly rocky with some driftwood and 1 or 2 plants. I realize this is probably too much, I just need some feedback. Thanks.

Clown loaches prefer to be in a school so 6 would be better. I can't really help you with the other inhabitants...I would do some looking around.

it depends on your filter that sounds like a good stock only issue is i think florida will get 2 big, i would do a tropical gar instead, and i would get 6 clown loaches instead

:iagree:but a tropical gar would also eventually outgrow a 125g

Thanks, I'll try the 6 loaches. Can anyone recommend a monster to replace the gar? I don't plan on buying another tank anytime soon, and I would rather not have a fish that will outgrow.

Just one quick tip. Don't keep any pleco's with bichirs. Its like vinegar and baking soda.
You could try needle fish instead of the Gar.
