Yeah, I'm concerned about that as well, but so far so good. It's a temporary home for them until my 180g arrives. I had a bunch of small peaceful sa cichlids, a pbass, and an aro living in the 80 that became the sump. I had to stuff them all in a 55. I couldn't put the small fish in with the rays or else they'd become food, so the small guys went into the 120g until the pbass and aro get bigger.

My plan is to have the 120g for small sa cichlids and to act as a grow out tank. The 180g that is coming will be a home for the bigger cichlids, and the 450g will be home to the rays, pbass, dats, and aro. I also have two 55g tanks. I'm thinking one might be for african cichlids and the other one would be used for salt. I've never done salt before and would like to try my hand in it.
    My 450g - Video1 Video2 2xPeru Mono, 1xGuyana Occell, 1xKelberi, 1xOrino, 4xIndo Dats, 2xMarble Motoro, 1xMidas, 1xRed Bay Snook, 1xNiger Cat, 1xSilver Aro, 1xBlood Parrot
    My 210g: 1xColumbian Marble Motoro
    120g:1xOrino, 2xOrnate Bichir, 2xSenagal Bichir, 1xSun Cat, 1xLima Shovelnose

Awesome setup. You should get some PVC strainers for your overflows, they'll probably raise your water level and they'll keep strain out the huge particles.
Thanks, I actually have "mufflers" on them right now. The guys at the top of the reef said it'd help with the gurgling noises. However, I was shoddy when I did this. They're made for 1.5" pipe and 1" pipe screwed into the overflows. So I have black 1.5" pipe covering white 1" pipe. All is fine, but the white pipe isn't as tall is as the black pipe, so I don't think the mufflers are even serving their purpose.

Yeah, I really need to fix some of the issues with the plumbing. I called in sick monday and tuesday to get this up and running though, so it was one of those moments where I said, this is good for now and I'll fix it later.

    Nice!
Too much filtration? Never. Too much flow? Yes. Just manage flow.

Your scrubbies are color coordinated OCD much?

All kidding aside this is a great tank and you have some beautiful stock in it. Good luck with everything! Also I like that you waited to post pics I hate checking and checking threads for pics and just getting a couple here and there. It's such a tease.

Yeah, the ocd thing happens on occasion. The sad thing is, I lined them up twice in two different directions. Its funny, some things I'm super organized with, and other things are a complete mess.

Here here brother! OCD on your scrubbies is the way to go. Same here. Setup looks amazing. Great job on the sump too.
