Hey guys I'm thinking about getting the EcoBio-Stone cause my tanks is pretty foggy. So before I do buy it I want to know if anyone has tried it and if it really does work?

Looks like one of those "as seen on TV" products from a late night infomercial

Always gotta love the products that promise reduced water changes

EcoBio-Stone for mid-size aquariums is a porous volcanic cement block containing nutrients and beneficial bacteria that regularly multiply to create a healthy ecosystem.

    • Minimizes aquarium maintenance by significantly reducing the need to change water and vacuum gravel.
    • Quickly establishes nitrifying bacteria in new aquariums reducing length of "new tank syndrome".
    • Speeds up denitrification cycle
    • Revitalizes, and clarifies water by quickly breaking down organic waste into safer by-products.
    • Easy-to-use --- simply rinse with chlorine-free water and place in the fish tank.
    • Lasts for years --- suggested replacement of approximately 1.5 - 2 years. May last longer.
    • Efffective for both fresh and salt water fish tanks.
    • Safe for all fish and reptiles.
    • Removes odors
    • No need to add liquid or powder bacteria.
    • Takes approximately 2 - 6 weeks for results under normal conditions.

It's basicly just a large size chunk of Eheim Substrat Pro. It doesn't do much, just gives bacteria another place to colonize.

No more effective than having gravel in your tank ;P Total waste of money.
