The label at the LFS said it was a tire track eel, but the employee thought it was another type of spiny eel. He couldn't say exactly which one though. Any ideas? Sorry for the crappy pics, I'm not much of a photographer.

hrmm looks a little like a spotted peacock eel...but I may be wrong wait for someone else to chime in
It is a Tire Track, just a strange pattern. Tire Track Eel typically have two different patterns, and this is one of them.
although we can't see it's tail,peacocks usually have circles going down their backs, towards the tail. the circles are similar to those on a peacock bird's tail, hence the name peacock. i have 2 peacocks and 1 tire track. i'm guessing that it's a tire track with an odd pattern.
