holly crap. I can not believe the amount of livestock in the tanks & cages. Plus stuff we hardly see here (gulper cats for awhile)
I think I will have to make a trip in the near future to see this in person.
My fiance wants to see where her parents are from.

thats just intense! im not going to comment on conditions cause it pretty much explains itself...how much does stuff cost over there? I know when I lived in the middle east we could get all sorts of stuff for next to nothing...never knew about fish but a small monkey was like $50 and you can take him home today

cheap I would say. The amount of stuff is crazy! I would say they ship to Japan & Europe for the $? When I was in SA Peru the exporters were getting top money shipping to them. Here in the US have to compete with the rest of demand. So our supply is less, with demand being high on some stock but cost out of range for us to afford. Plus cost of shipping here & fees, etc.. rack up. Over there I doubt they have much regulation, labor cost etc.. so in turn its way cheaper.

yea it's in a flea market format. conditions are poor but venture to say that most animals that are in the pet trade, have seen similar conditions.

compared to Hong Kong, it's arount 2-3 times cheaper for fish that are locally bred. Wild caught or imported fish cost more than does in Hong Kong. Hong Kong prices vary between species vis a vis global prices. For example those azul Pbass, 1ft about 240USD, bags of several largish koi, 6USD, 2 ft long silver arrow 12USD, 2ft arapaima 70USD, 1ft long birchirs 15USD, blue eye pleco 1500USD etc ... most saught after fish are the asian gold or red arrows, flowerhorns, and rays. Baby blk/white spot ray costs about 1400USD. Mind you this is already the market, which sells to general public. So one can imagine prices at the source farms.

yea monkeys, crocodiles, more or less what ever you want, and got the money...

Place is a paradise for fish keepers ... should have a visit if ever get the chance.
