Theoretically, any creature that is classified as an acutal albino usually has pink-colored eyes. I just purchased 2 regular tinfoils and 2 goldfoils. At least that's what petsmart had them labeled as -- "Goldfoils." I would expect a true goldfoil barb to not have pink eyes. I would expect them to be black, as is the case with a regular tinfoil barb. The 2 fish that I purchased have pink eyes. I searched online and the sites that i searched were inconsistent about eye coloration in albinos and goldfoils. My question is: "Which do I have, goldfoils or albinos?"

I had a barb years ago that was a goldfoil barb that was all gold but with black irises.
if yours have pink, they are probably albino and not goldfoils.
